The Babysitter Scarf
Anyone who knows me knows that I am OBSESSED with movies.
After a recent re-watch of Adventures in Babysitting, I decided to take my love and admiration of Elisabeth Shue one step further and design a scarf inspired by that long stripey number she wears in the 1987 comedy classic.
This 7’ long scarf is worked entirely in Tunisian crochet, Tunisian knit stitch and Tunisian purl stitch, specifically. The written pattern includes step-by-step instructions, photo tutorials, and a link to two video tutorials to help get you started. And it’s all FREE on my blog!
Materials:
-8.0 mm Tunisian crochet hook
-Roughly, a total of 520 yards of worsted weight yarn divided like so:
-Big Twist: 270 yards
-Red Heart Super Saver: 155 yards
-Red Heart Classic: 95 yards
Detailed materials list available in pattern.
Pattern and photographs belong to me, but please feel free to make/share/sell anything created by your own two hands. Please provide a link back to the pattern if you do!
