The Bae Braid Headband
This pattern was the first that I released on a now (very defunct) blog. It was written thoroughly, but untested and interrupted with ads. When I decided not to pursue a blog, it fell into obscurity.
UNTIL…
I got an app update that reminded me it existed… So I decided to move it to Ravelry, where it could easily be downloaded as a PDF. Minor edits were made, and it is now totally ad free!
It has been vetted and tested this time around, and is easy to read and understand. It is simple enough for beginning knitters, as long as they know or are willing to learn the basics of cabling on their own, although a detailed description is provided.
Instructions are provided for extensive customization (tighter braid, looser braid, wider or thinner headband)… This pattern lends itself to being whatever size you need! Recommended yarn and needle size are detailed above, but it can be made using any yarn and appropriate needles if the width/length is adjusted. About 100 yds of a super bulky yarn will make a 24” headband - kids sizes clock in needing about 60-65 yds!
If you have any questions about it, please message me!
