This beginner friendly baby hat pattern is perfect for an easy baby knit or a thoughtful baby shower DIY gift. This easy & cute hat pattern is the must-have baby beanie; with a cute bear face and pompoms as ears, it is sure to make any baby smile.


The baby bear hat pattern is offered in four sizes (measurement table included) for preemie, newborn, 3 - 6 months, 9 - 12 months.

The baby bonnet pattern is done with straight needles (or circular knitting back and forth) and requires a tapestry needle for sewing the hat together and embroidery the bears face. Please note that this knitting pattern is in English only.

• 1 DK baby Yarn weight medium recommended for needle size 4 mm / US 6 in cream/white color (100% cotton, bamboo or a blend) approximately 120 yds / 2.5 oz. (109 m. / 70.9 g.)
• 1 yarn of a different color for the bears face and pom-poms
• Using No 4.5 mm (US 7), stocking stitch knit 20 stitches x 26 rows to obtain 10 cm. x 10cm. (4”x4”)
