The BEST Dish Scrubber
by MyFairKatie
This pattern is
available for free.
I’ve made lots of dish scrubbers over the years, but this one is THE BEST. You hold a 3” wide strand of tulle together with a strand of kitchen cotton throughout the pattern--the tulle is a gentle abrasive and the cotton holds dish soap really well.
There are only 6 rounds for the pattern, which creates a double-thick scrubber that lasts forever.
The tulle isn’t found with the yarn at the store--it’s usually with fabric or ribbon. It comes in 6-inch wide rolls (about 30 yards each). To start, you remove the cardboard center of the roll and cut in half, so that you have two rolls of tulle.
The gauge isn’t important--it’s a dish scrubber, not a sweater--so going up or down hook sizes doesn’t matter.
