THE BIG EASE
Log fires or not, you’ll always want to wrap yourself up in this super relaxed oversized big, ease-y sweater ;)
Combining simplicity with broken rib detailing, this loose-fitting knit is an everyday comfort wardrobe staple. Deep open side seams at the hem give it lots of wearing ease and a clean modern finish.
Longline length | Central seam detail to front and back | Full (shown) or mock turtle-neck options | Long sleeves or go sleeveless for a modern tunic fit | Deep side vents at hem
The Big Ease is knit using the sumptuous Studio Worsted by The Neighborhood Fiber company.
CONSTRUCTION:
The Big Ease is worked seamlessly from the bottom up. Commencing with the back and front the broken ribbed hems are worked flat, separately, then they are joined after a deep split seam to commence the body working in the round.
The front and back are then separated at the armholes and worked separately with shoulder short rowing and neck shaping on both sides. The front and back are then joined using a 3-needle bind off technique. The mock/ turtle neck is then knit, followed by the sleeves, both of which are worked in the round.
