The Bird Tracks Beanie
With a statement cable motif mimicking the footprint of a bird left on a forest trail, this beanie is perfect for wearing along creekside hikes in autumn or bundling up in the snow.
This chunky design works up fast and despite appearing complicated, the bird track cables are easy to complete.
Pattern difficulty: Easy/Intermediate (not advised for beginners, but the adventurous beginner who feels comfortable attempting post stitches can complete this)

Instructions provided to complete adult size beanie as well as notes and stitch multiples to allow customization to any size or yarn weight.
You will need:
Approx 120 yards of bulky weight yarn (Sample: 2 skeins of Made By Hailey Bailey Cloud Bulky Base in Autumn Oak)
Size L/8mm crochet hook
Size M/9mm crochet hook
Stitch markers
Scissors
Yarn needle
Note: This pattern can be used with other yarn weights, such as worsted or DK weight. Adjust your hook size to fit the yarn used (main beanie hook 1-2 sizes larger than ribbing hook).
