• please note that the pattern calls for 2 types of yarn: sport weight for the body (about 40-50 grams/1.75 oz) and fingering or lace weight for the fur. The fur takes some time and patience to make!

You need to know basic crocheting stitches, have some previous crocheting experience, and be ready to follow the instructions carefully and strictly as given in the pattern! It is highly recommended that you know (or should be ready to learn) how to work with single crochet stitches around the chain. The dimensions are given for the sport weight yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook, though you can easily adjust the size by choosing a larger hook and thicker yarn. In my opinion, mercerized cotton yarn works best for this project.
