The Blue Sock of Happiness
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This is a great little sock that I made as my end-of-winter pick-me-up. Its very stretchy and the little lace pattern opens up like tiny diamonds. Very soft yarn, Ram Wools “Softly”…love it, feels like clouds under my feet!!!
Update!!! Sept 11, 2011
I have gone around in the lace pattern working on a tube to assess why a couple of folks keep decreasing. I have come to two conclusions:
- The offset lace pattern works. I keep counting after each round and I still have the same 20 stitches that I started my round with.
- I didn’t lose a stitch in the pattern and I see that I have mentioned this so either it is a copy/paste typo from another lace pattern or I wasn’t counting my last stitch, which is a chain one still on the hook…..but I can’t tell you exactly what was up because I wrote this pattern two years ago. Sorry, I am only human.
- Remember, when you make a sc2tog, this counts as one stitch, and the chain one immediately afterwards counts as one stitch. When you take something away you have to balance it by putting something back, so if you don’t increase by making a chain after decreasing with a sc2tog, you will lose a stitch.
