The Book Snake
The Book Snake is the intersection of two of my favorite things--knitting and reading--and was created with the most simple goal in mind: fun.
Techniques Used:

Knitting with Magic Loop Method or DPNs
Increasing
Decreasing
Colorwork (stripes)
Helpful links listed in pattern.
Recommended Yarn:
Any worsted weight or worsted weight equivalent
Meeting exact gauge is not critical
Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) circulars
24” (60cm) cable for magic loop
or US 6 (4 mm) DPNs (6”/15cm)
Supplies:
Scissors
Darning Needle

Due to the nature of this pattern, the final length and total yardage of the Book Snake is up to you. It was designed to be a reading tracker (one stripe added per book read over the course of one year), but can, of course be enjoyed or made for other purposes.
