this scarf is knit in just one colorway of plymouth yarn’s ‘kudo’. all the color changes are done by the yarn itself. nice.

because the yarn is silk and cotton, this scarf stretches the seasons being wearable through winter to spring and continuing on into cool summer nights by the ocean and early fall. worn to keep an oceanside summer’s breeze at bay seems especially appropriate to me since the repeating ridges remind me of the patterns left in the damp sand as the waves ebb and flow.

this is knit from the ends in toward the center so that both tips have the same artsy shape. achieving this while maintaining the stitch pattern requires a 3-needle bind-off the width of the scarf at the center back.
