A summer trip down to see the sunset and waves breaking inspired this beanie. The texture of the stitches was reminiscent of the way that the cracked rocks, eroded by years and years of wave action, perfectly fit together.

The pattern has been tested by some super amazing testers! It is a great knit for working on while you catch up on your favorite show! The body of the hat doesn’t even require a stitch marker ;) Due to the stitches involved, it is an intermediate level knit.

The pattern includes sizes premie through adult large, with a brief note on how to adjust the size further (if desired). Instructions are provided for decreasing in pattern, too!

It’s meant for worsted (4-weight yarn), and required needles, yardage, etc can all be found above and in the pattern. With a bit of math, and a good gauge swatch, it could be easily adapted to any weight of yarn.

*** It should be noted that the decreases were adjusted after testing was completed to create a more gentle look than in the beanies made by testers.
