The Brioche Feather Scarf
This Feather Brioche Scarf is written for both Continental/English and Portuguese/Turkish/Peruvian styles of knitting.
The pattern won’t teach you how to work in the specific style, but if you know the basics, it’s the perfect first project in practicing the stitches and a lot more interesting than just swatching, be cause you get a finished project at the end and develop muscle memory for a next project.
This project will work wonders on an already dyed yarn, as well as a basis for a DIY dyeing project. For the given needle sizes, you will need 2 skeins/hanks/cakes/balls of fingering/sock weight, each 400m in 100g of speckled, long self-striping, gradient or undyed yarn.
It starts with a single stitch, and, except for the bind off, NOT A SINGLE PURL IN SIGHT for the continental& english style knitters.
The Pattern is all-written and split into 3 Sections (1-3) for easier explanations and increased customisability, with colour-coded increases and decreases - for easier spotting and pattern structure.
Standard brioche& knitting terminology is used and some modified versions of special brioche stitches.
Enjoy!
