The Broken Rib Hat is a super simple knit using just knit and purl stitches to create a wonderful texture.

The hat is knit in one piece, in the round.

The pictured hat was knit in a super chunky yarn but the pattern has been specifically written for any yarn and any gauge.

The Broken Rib Hat can be knit entirely in one colour and will be fantastic, but I cordially invite you to let your creative side run wild. You could fade from one colour to another, create a marled fabric by holding two or three strands of yarn together, colour block with coordinating or contrasting colours or even add a fluffy layer with some Suri Silk or Mohair.
