The Bubble Cowl
Play with fun bubble stitches to knit this warm and cozy cowl. The cowl is knit in the round and then seamed together to create a thick plush tube. Choose between a hooded cowl that starts with little bubbles and increases into big bubbles or select the simple infinity cowl style. DK or worsted weight yarns create this fun-to-knit winter accessory.
Sizes
Hooded Cowl (rainbow colors)
A cozy tube that starts with small bubbles and increases to large bubbles for a hooded effect.
Infinity Cowl (greens & neutrals)
A longer tube seamed together with bubbles in the same size throughout the fabric.
Finished Measurements
Hooded Cowl
30” / 76cm circumference around neck, 19” / 48cm at widest part, 9” / 23cm at narrowest part.
Infinity Cowl
48” / 122cm sideways circumference after seaming to CO edge to the BO edge, 24” / 61cm wide.
Yarn
DK or worsted weight
Yardage
1 skein of each color
The sample is a multi-color version. I used less than one skein of each color and most colors used leftover bits of yarn. If you have six full skeins of DK weight yarn, that should be plenty to knit both size variations of this cowl.
Hooded Cowl
Approximately 775yds / 709m total
If you are knitting a six-color sample of the hooded cowl style, you will need approximately 129yds / 118m or a bit less of each color.
Infinity Cowl
Color A – 250yds / 229m
Color B – 250yds / 229m
Color C – 250yds / 229m
Color D – 250yds / 229m
Color E – 250yds / 229m
Color F – 250yds / 229m
