I wrote the instructions so you could repeat the bud as many times as you like. This scarf used 5 buds on the increase and 5 buds on the decrease side. (10 total buds) I made one with 12 repeats in Fingering using the G hook and one with 14 in the same yarn and I used an D hook to make a shawl with a finer thread and 12 repeats.

The pattern has written directions for the increase side and for the decrease side of the 10 row repeat and has large charts for ease of following. It also has a small overall 10 repeat scarf chart for reference.

The extra lacy look is achieved by using a bigger needle and firmly wet blocking it.
