A While ago it was my lovely mother in laws birthday and I wanted to make her something, naturally I decided I needed to make something one week before her birthday, so it needed to be a speedy project. I cast about for a pattern for a lounge cushion with a simple cable pattern on it. I found it! But alas the pattern was in French so I continued my search and came up empty for what I wanted, I really id fallen in love with that cute owl and REALLY wanted to make it so I set about translating the pattern. So here is the translation of that pattern (credited at the end) for all you lovely people.

6mm (US Size 10) circular or straights as this pattern is worked flat.

2 Stitch markers (I didn’t use these but I live dangerously)

Your favorite bulky OR superbulky yarn OR two strands of 8 ply held together, keep the same needle size so that when the pillow is stuffed it doesn’t gape in anyway showing the innards. You will need around 350M
