The Cardigan Beanie - Knitting Pattern

Intermediate Beginner due to the cable styles

This beanie is a classic cabled, fitted style beanie that combines the beauty of two of my favorite cable styles: The horseshoe and the braided cable.

This pattern is written for 5 yarn weights!

Worsted (Malabrigo Worsted) - approx 150 yards
Aran (WAK The Petite Wool, and Malabrigo Mecha) - approx 115 yards
Bulky (Malabrigo Chunky) - approx 90 yards
Light Super Bulky (Baah Sequoia Super Bulky) - approx 85 yards
Super Bulky (Malabrigo Rasta) - approx 82 yards

Please know that this pattern does not have to be knit with a high end yarn like I have listed above. Any budget friendly yarn will also work! Just as long as you meet gauge. My testers used a range of yarn such as Lion Brand Thick and Quick, Bernat Premium Worsted, Red Heart, etc. Be sure to head to Instagram and view the hashtag #cardiganbeanie to see all of their beautiful makes.

This pattern was inspired by a knit cardigan I randomly came across online one day and I immediately knew that I had to turn it into a beanie!

Please be sure to use the hashtag #cardiganbeanie so I can see all of your beautiful versions.
