The Carmen Top is a very simple and basic tube top, which features a drawstring around the upper bust to secure it (and which doubles as a strap if you prefer). It is a quick knit and perfect for the hotter months of the year, as it is knit in soft, light plant-based yarn.

Gauge: 23sts and 38rows over a 10x10cm square on 3.5mm needles (stretched side to side). Take time to check gauge, changing needles if necessary!

Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 corresponding to bust measurements 75 (80) 85 (90) 95 cm.

Needles: 40 or 60cm circular needles, sizes 3.5mm (and optionally 3mm, you may choose to use the 3mm needle for the hems, as it makes them tighter, just make sure to cast on and bind off loosely so you can comfortably wear it.)

Note: Considering the design of the top, I would recommend picking a size very close to your bust measurement.

Recommended Yarn: 150 (150) 200 (200) 250 g Rosários4 For Nature (100% cotton, 137m/50g) or any other yarn you can achieve gauge with. Note that cotton is not very stretchy and you may need to swatch very carefully if using a stretchy yarn, as that will change the sizing of the final garment quite aggressively.
