The Cascade Hat is a 4 color hat that knits up quick with super bulky yarn on 9mm (US13) circular needles. The color combinations are endless, but if you feel intimidated by choosing just the right colors I included tips for success. I included yarn details and colors in the pattern for many of the examples you see in this listing.

This is a great STASH BUSTER project for your super bulky yarn!

As long as the sheen is the same you can combine multiple brands in one hat. For example: The purple hat has Loops and Threads Cozy Wool, Big Twist Natural Blend Yarn, Lion Brand Thick and Quick AND Plymouth Yarn Encore Mega. That’s FOUR different yarn brands in one beautiful hat.

The most complicated stitch in the pattern is a ‘kfb’ (knit front and back) BUT I included a video link that shows how exactly how to do this stitch. There’s only one of them in the whole pattern so if you can knit and purl you will be just fine.

Not all heads are the same size so I’ve included two options on how to increase the stitch count without compromising the colorwork.

A chart for the colorwork section is included on page 4. If you want to conserve paper you can get away with only printing page 2 of the pattern once you’ve read through everything on your digital device.
