The Check Yourself Wrap
Materials/Gauge
Hook: G - 4.0 mm
Yarn: DK weight; I used Blowing Bubbles and Midnight by Spargur Yarn Co.
Yardage: 1000 yd
Stitches used in this project
ch- chain
dc- double crochet
Notes
• Ch 3 at beginning of each row counts as dc
• The checkerboard section is worked in tapestry crochet. You will work with both strands of yarn along the row, carrying the non primary color parallel to the top of the previous row as you crochet with the primary one, alternating when you complete each square. You will crochet 4 dc in each color before alternating and switching to the next. In your last dc, when you have 2 loops left on the hook, pull through with the new color so the squares are seamless.
I was inspired to create this pattern by loving the checkerboard pattern and I thought it would be fun to play with multiple colors in a pattern! This is my first pattern using more than one color and I could not be more happy with the results. Hope you all enjoy! :)
