The Chevron Monster
Meet the Chevron Monster! Stripes are snazzy, but this fashionable monster wanted to be extra fancy-- She is all decked out in a fun and stylish chevron design!
The Chevron Monster can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.
My monster is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using three colors:
- Color 1: Aquamarine (170 yards)
- Color 2: Periwinkle (45 yards)
- Color 3: Radiant Lime (45 yards)
The Chevron Monster is an Intermediate-level pattern. Skills you will need include basic crochet stitches (SC, HDC, DC, TR), increases, decreases, color changes, joining new yarn and some seaming. Included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although instructions for using plastic safety eyes are given as well.
The pattern has plenty of progress photos to help you along your way to making your own stylish monster.
