This is a simple vintage-style raglan knitted in parts with an optional neck fastening. It is worked in DK yarn. Written instructions include a chart and are given for approximate ages 1 - 11 years, chest size 20 - 30 inches , ( 51 - 76 cms ). I designed the jumper for people who prefer to knit garments on single-pointed needles in rows but like the look of a colour work yoke. These are very popular in Scotland where i live. The colour work is remarkably easy as there is a pattern repeat of just 4 stitches. Therefore there is no need to carry floats on the back and it’s much easier to get an even tension. Less than 50g of contrasting colours are required.
