The Colour Puff Sweater
The Colour Sweater is a top- down yoke sweater with rows of puff stitches in a contrasting colour. This gives the sweater a fun and, at the same time elegant look. The sections in between the colour rows are made in a modified waistcoat stitch, which is less dense than the original waistcoat stitch, in order for the sweater to be less heavy. It also gives a nice knit- look, mimicking knits and purls.
I have used 100% wool yarns, but the sweater may also be
made in other yarn qualities. I would not recommend cotton,
but rather wool or acrylic or any other lighter qualities. The advertised sweaters have been made in Sandnes Peer Gynt (91 m per 50 g) and Navia Trio (120 m per 50g). A worsted weight yarn may also be used. Note that you may need to adapt the hook depending on your yarn.
The sweater is made in 9 sizes: 2XS (XS-S-M-L) (XL-2XL-3XL-4XL) which corresponds to a chest circumference of 75 (85-90-95-100) (110-120-130- 145) cm or 29.5 (33.5-35.5-37.5-39.25) (43.25-47.25-51.25-57) in. The sweater is meant to have a positive ease of around 8-10 cm or 3-4 in. The chest circumference of the sweater in the different sizes will therefore be around 85 (93-98-105-110) (119-130-139-155) cm /33.5 (36.5-38.5-41.25- 43.25) (46.75-51.25-54.75-61) in.
