The OG David Rose/Schitt’s Creek inspired sweater! This is the first one I knit and it got me hooked! 3 years later, almost to the date that I started this sweater knitting adventure here is the pattern for it!

This sweater is knit top down, in the round. I have included a waist shaping optioin. There is simple colorwork in the yoke and some color changes in the sleeve. And miles of stockinette knitting!

There is 2” of negative ease written into the pattern (so if you want no ease or positive ease feel free to go up a size or two).

I was a beginner level sweater knitter when I first made this sweater. I included lots of links to tutorials for the various techniques and included written and charted instructions. Needles and Notions:
US 6/4mm DPNs for sleeves and neck, circular nee-dle 22″ or longer for body, optional 16” circular nee-dle for neck
US 5/3.75mm dpns for cuffs and collar, circular nee-dle 22″ or longer for body ribbing, optional 16” circu-lar needle for collar
(Or needle size needed to obtain gauge and one needle size smaller.)
9 stitch markers, including 1 unique marker for BOR
Stitch holders or scrap yarn
tapestry needle

Gauge:
22 stitches and 27 rows/rounds per 4″/10cm square with larger needles.
(Matching row/round gauge isn’t as crucial for fit as you will be able to try on as you go.)
Knit a swatch in the round with US 6/4 mm needles, or size needed to obtain gauge, and throw a star in there, especially if you are new to colorwork! You want to make sure your tension is even.
