The Crocheter's Finger Saver Wrap
I designed this item because I have been crocheting so much lately I ended up with a blister right where I like to wrap my thread to keep tension while I’m working! So I made myself a finger wrap to wear instead of going through all my bandaids. The first part was just about the same as a bandaid…even the same color. But I decided to add some bright borders on the edges because my thread kept finding its way underneath it.
I made my little ‘finger cozy’ with Aunt Lydia’s size 10 crochet thread in ‘Copper Mist’ and ‘Pagoda Red’, and a 1.75 mm steel crochet hook.
I’ve been wearing mine almost non-stop since making it. I even forget I have it on and end up going to the store with it on! I understand that not everybody has skin issues, or tension issues, but this has really been a true finger saver for me since I have both skin issues and strive to crochet pretty tight with my thread just like all the vintage pieces from my grandmother.
Hope you get some use out of this! Love and prayers, Cara Louise
