The Daisy Meadow Baby Blanket
Crochet baby blanket suitable for beginners as it uses a combination of 2 stitches only.
A simple, cosy dk weight design using a repeated granny square crochet motif of chains, trebles and border. 3 colourways are used. The repeated motif is reminiscent of a daisy. In the photos you can see a blanket with a 2 round border, you could add more rounds if you wish.
The sample in the photos is knit in Woolyknits 100% British Blue faced Leicester DK in cream 3 50g balls, green 1 50g ball and yellow 2 50g balls, on a 4mm hook. Any DK weight yarn may be used for this pattern including machine washable acrylics if that is preferred.
Use of different yarn and needle size may alter the size and fabric quality.
Finished blanket measures 68cm by 53cm. It is a suitable size for a push chair, pram, moses basket or crib.
You may of course substitute the colours for any of your choice.
The blanket can be made larger by increasing the number of motifs made
