This listing is for the pdf knitting pattern of the “Diva Capelet” in size small
- larger size are achieved by casting on more stitches as outlined in the pattern.

Material & Gauge:

A variety of commercial & hand-spun yarns, knitable with needles US 10/11 (8 mm) -
about 400/800 yards depending on the width of the capelet/skirt and the length/tiers of the ruffles

This pattern is perfect for using up your (never ending) yarn stash, using as many different colors and yarn types as you like, but of course you can also knit it in one color and one style of yarn :)

gauge: 3 sts and 3 rows = 1 inch over stockinette stitch

Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, cast off, working yarn overs, crochet optional to work button closure

Difficulty level: Beginner/Intermediate.

This pattern was designed with Lunamuse Fiberart handspun yarn in mind.

Substitute with any commercial yarn to match desired gauge (needle size)

Larger sizes can be easily accommodated by casting on more stitches.

Alternatively you may adapt the pattern as is with the use of larger needles (and bulkier yarn) to create sizes medium & large.

Fibers of the Diva Capelet sample in brown include commercial yarns as well as a variety of my own hand-spun (handpainted) yarns, here in particular I was working with handspun shetland, mohair, lincoln, cotswold, romney & silk.

This one-of-a-kind garment fits a small/medium frame if worn as a skirt wrap over your favorite yoga pants, to and from your favorite class.

It is meant to sit on your lower hips and show a little leg :)
