This cowl is a great project for using expressive handspun yarns. You can mix and match your yarn textures and styles and also enjoy a finished end product. The idea for The Dixie was the need to fill the cold air gap in the zipper portion of my jacket that I was experiencing. The point of the cowl lays nicely behind the zipper and the cowl folds just right to sit in my jacket as well. The pattern has explanations how to use the yarn you have to make the piece. It is also a very quick knit since it uses bulky yarns.
