My donkey is made using Schacenmayr Catania (100%), though you can use any other yarn and suitable hook to make your toy. In general, for my toys that look a little bit like crochet sculptures, I recommend using 100% cotton.

You need to know basic crocheting stitches, have some previous crocheting experience, and be ready to concentrate and follow the instructions carefully! The dimensions are given for the sport weight yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook (though you can easily adjust the size by choosing a larger hook and thicker yarn). Please, note that the final result highly depends on your crafting skills and materials you use.
