Finished tray diameter for each size is below.
Small: 2.75 in
Medium: 4.0 in
Large: 5.0 in

In addition to using Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn, I have found success using t-shirt yarn (either purchased or DIY) and using 2 strands of worsted weight cotton.
