5 EASY STEPS TO YOUR PONCHO:

Step 1: Choose some chunky yarn.
Step 2: Start with a chain.
Step 3. Work the increases for as long as you want.
Step 4. Adjust the neck, as necessary.
Step 5. Add a fringe or tassels, if you want.

The perfect pattern for beginners!

Use self-striping yarn and watch the colors build into a beautiful poncho.

Use a single-color or variegated yarn to produce a stylish result.

Use up your stash with stripes  - as many or as few as you like.

THE EASY PONCHO CROCHET PATTERN REQUIREMENTS:

At least 300m of Chunky (12-14ply) weight yarn (more length = more yarn required)
Yarn needle
Crochet Hook: 10mm (N) – or size needed to achieve gauge.

Gauge:
8 dc, 4 rows = 10cm (4”)square

US STITCHES & TECHNIQUES NEEDED (substitutions allowed):

Chain
Double Crochet
Single Crochet
Double Crochet 2 Together
Chainless Starting Double Crochet (optional)
Crab Stitch (optional)
Slip stitch
