The Edwardian Romance Shawl
This is the ultimate gift to make for someone really special. There’s just nothing like this shawl and its sister (and smaller) shawl, the Victorian Romance Shawl. It’s got rows of fans, diamonds, and teardrop-like cluster stitches that form a zig zag pattern. It’s a yarn eater; the border alone took a whole hank of yarn using a G/4mm hook. You won’t be bored with this one!
By changing your yarn and hook size, you can modify the shawl to be smaller or larger than it’s written. The bottom of the shawl will come out about 60% wider than your first row.
It’s designed to be big so that the wearer can wrap it around and the beautiful detail shows however it’s worn.
Suggested retail for a finished shawl: $85-150 and up depending upon how many colors you choose, type of yarn, gauge, etc.
