The Eliza Sweater
This sweater was inspired by an energetic two-year-old named Eliza. The all-over brioche pattern is worked back and forth from the top down until the body is joined in the round at the underarm. The sweater is intended to be worn with about 4 in / 10 cm of positive ease and, depending on the yarn used, can be a cozy winter sweater or a lighter spring or fall layer.

Sizing guide
The Eliza Sweater was designed to be comfortably oversized with approximately 4 in / 10 cm of positive ease so that it will (hopefully) fit the child for longer than a blink of an eye. Select a finished size that is roughly 4 in / 10 cm larger than the child’s actual chest measurement. For example, if the child’s chest measures 21 in / 53 cm, you should knit a size 3 to achieve the intended fit.
