The Elswyth Beanie
This hat was designed to look like the arms of a tree, reaching into the sky. “Elswyth” means “elf from the willow tree”, which I think suits the pattern perfectly. Simple cable twists and purl stitches come together to form a pattern that may look tricky but is actually quite easy to achieve. This pattern also includes directions for a more fitted version or a looser fit.
Gauge is taken before blocking and measured on (ktbl, p1) pattern.
The first and second images are of the pattern made using Lion Brand Wool Spun, the third image is of the hat made using Lion Brand Hue & Me. Less than one skein of yarn was used for each hat.
