My daughter, Emily, loves neutral colors and cold weather. Gray, tan, beige and black are her favorites. I found this yarn and pretty much knew she would love it. I designed a cozy scarf that can be draped around the neck, or wrapped for warmth. It’s only natural that I will pass this on to Emily so that she can enjoy the cold weather and have a way to chase the chill away from her neck.

The Emily Scarf is a boomerang shaped crochet scarf, making it a versatile shape for wrapping and tying. The scarf is crocheted on the diagonal from tip to tip. The stitch pattern is an easy two-row repeat after the set up and several rows. Once the final length is reached the edging is started without breaking the yarn. This scarf is an easy and fast project. The entire scarf can be crocheted with 400 yards of sport weight yarn. The MadelineTosh Work Sock yarn (sport, 400 yards/skein) is perfect for this project. It comes in solids and in splashy colorful speckles.
