The Estonian Bouquet scarf
This scarf features traditional Estonian motif of flowers from the Estonian book “Haapsalu sall”
My very dear friend Carol loves the look of Estonian flowers so I designed a scarf with some of them , like in a bouquet.
The scarf is worked in two halves, knitted simultaneously or one at a time, and then grafted in the middle.
The edge is in garter stitch lace, the body of the scarf is stockinette lace .
There are directions for casting on, making nupps and grafting
The pattern is in charted and text format.
On the download page there are two files : “Revised_Estonian_Bouquet.pdf” is the complete pattern with charts and written directions, “Samples_Estonian_Bouquet.pdf” contains the pictures and the specifics of all the test samples. My biggest thanks to the test knitters, their projects are wonderful!
NOTE : the “Samples_Estonian_Bouquet.pdf” does NOT contain directions, only pictures of the test samples, yarn amount, measurements and notes. There is NO need to print it to knit this pattern.
You are welcome to join us at the Raverly group
in tiziana’s corner to chat, knit along and have fun!
