This fun double-knit cowl was inspired by the bright lights on Euclid Avenue in the Playhouse Square District of Downtown Cleveland. The cowl is knitted in the round, and may be adjusted in size by increasing the cast on by multiples of 44 stitches (22 pairs).

Finished Measurements: Height – 5.75”; Circumference – 26”

Requires a total of approximately 400 yards of fingering weight yarn (200 yards of Color A, and 200 yards of Color B)

In the pictured sample, I used Knit Picks Stroll Brights in Pucker, and Knit Picks Capretta in Caviar. However, any fingering weight yarn should work. Just be sure your two yarns are comparable in weight. For example, the project may not look right if one color is a light fingering and one is a heavy fingering.

It is helpful to have at least some double-knitting experience prior to beginning this pattern. However, this pattern does contain a helpful guide to the basics of double-knitting, which includes photographs.

Although some instructions are written, the color-work portion of the pattern is available solely in charted form.
