“ Beautiful Thinking “

The Eunoia Beanie was named after its resemblance to a mirrored image, and inspired by my love for the mountains, a perfect reflection on a lake, and the mental state that I find myself in when I’m out there.

This design is a perfect beanie fit on an adult, but because of the flexibility of the yarn, it also doubles as a perfect slouchy fitting beanie for kids!

This is a simple knit with easy flowing repeats, and it looks great in both solid, and variegated yarns. I chose to knit this up in Malabrigo Mecha, as I absolutely love the fibre, the flexibility, and the fact that its super wash merino, however, you can use any bulky yarn. (I also tested this in WAK Petite wool, and Berroco Vintage Chunky, and it knits up to gauge).

I’m all about the one skein wonders, so you should easily be able to knit this up, with yarn to spare. (Approx 120 yards)

This beanie uses size 9 / 5.5mm and 10 / 6mm circular 16” needles.
Optional 10 / 6mm DPN for decease
You will also need a tapestry needle, and scissors.

I hope you enjoy knitting this beanie as much as i enjoyed designing it! If you are a tight knitter like myself, and prefer a more slouchy, loose fitting beanie, I recommend sizing up your needles one size… but be aware that this will affect your yardage and you will need to dip into another skein.
