- This pattern includes both the instructions for making the mouse ears in Worsted Weight yarn, and Chunky Weight yarn! The different yarn weights are split between two separate pattern documents, so as not to have you download a 40+ page document. The actual gauge for the pattern is listed on page 3 of the pattern, and is NOT what is listed here on Ravelry. The gauge is based on the finished diameter measurement of a crocheted circle, and is explained in the pattern notes.
- This is an experienced beginner - intermediate level pattern, written in US terminology. Pictures and graphics are also included to help you visually understand the creation process.
- I would strongly advise against using 100% cotton yarn for your yarn selection. Due to the lack of elasticity in the fibers of cotton yarn, the increase stitches of the mouse ear bases will create less than ideal holes throughout the piece.
- The written instruction of this pattern will ask you to work into the back bumps or “bb” of a foundation chain. This is referring to the “spine” of the chain sequence—which is located on the opposite side of the V’s made on the top of the chain sequence.
- TIMESTAMPS ARE INCLUDED THROUGHOUT THE PATTERN AT THE BEGINNING OR END OF CERTAIN STEPS/SECTIONS (i.e. 04:10 – 9:23). THESE TIMESTAMPS INDICATE WHERE EXACTLY IN THE VIDEO TUTORIAL ONE MAY FIND A VISUAL GUIDE TO THE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.
