The Fairbanks Cardigan was inspired by the brisk, wooded shores of Fairbanks, Alaska. The design is meant to evoke feelings of coziness and adventure, like stepping into a rustic world, wild and beautiful.

This cardigan was designed with a blanket structure, being crocheted from one side to the other, rather than the top or bottom, to complete the feeling of wrapped up in a warm blanket. With the sleeves and shawl collar being added on at the end.

At this time, this cardigan pattern is only available in one size, but adjusting the size would be as easy as omitting rows on the back section of the sweater, in between the two arm holes.
