The Faithie Beanie
This specific pattern came into being because I love pairing hats, mittens, and cowls together, especially in my favorite super bulky yarn, Malabrigo Rasta. I searched for a one skein Rasta cowl pattern and found it on Ravelry. The beautiful Camilla Cowl by Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton. She was so kind when I inquired whether or not she intended to make a hat to match. She said no and gave me her blessing to do so on my own. If you like this hat, get a copy of her inspiring cowl: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/camilla-cowl
The hat is easily adjusted for different sizes and the pattern is for both Super Bulky and Bulky yarns. It is a great pattern for those 76yd bulky/superbulky Indie Dyed skeins. Additional yarn dyers I recommend include Dancingskiesfiberarts and Threadhead_knits.co
This is a fairly tight knit hat…so be prepared to needle up or relax your knitting if you are a tight knitter. Mecha looks deceptively small but is stretchy and makes for a great fit.
Each hat takes the majority of a skein. One tester had enough Mecha left to make a great yarn pom!
