Have fun and experiment with wool fibers and felting by knitting The Fall Festival Beret. This beret has been designed to be knitted as simply as possibly with basic increases and decreases. It will allow you to experiment with felting so you will need to choose a yarn made with a wool fiber that can felt. The yarn chosen should also be fairly loose so there is a nice drape and allows enough room for felting. This pattern can be adapted so that a yarn that does not felt can be used. This is up to the knitter to determine. The use of felting and the adaptability of the pattern is why it is intermediate.
