The Favorite Butterfly Motif
“Perle crochet-cotton, No. 5, ecru, was used for the butterfly which forms the ends of a scarf or table runner twenty-one inches wide, and the corners of a table cover to match. This was intended for a library set, the linen being also of gray or ecru. By using the cordonnet crochet-cotton, No. 60, one may have a lovely center piece, using eight butterflies around it; and doilies and napkins may be made to match by using a finer thread. A handsome scarf and between-meal cloth for the dining room may be made as illustrated, with white linen and thread.”
