An easy to knit yet very attractive hat.

I design The Favorite Hat for the ladies because it has finer stitches appearance. Then second pattern; “The Favorite Hat for Him” I changed the stitch pattern a bit more stronger.
However both patterns can be for worn by anyone. Base on your choice of yarn and color, It shall change the mood of the hat dramatically.

Yes, It’s reversible! Never mind to correct the person that she/he put the hat on wrong side out.

I knitted both hats in Cashmere (Light blue one and Navy)(L) for mysellf and in black(S) and white(M) in Baby Cashmerino for the boys, brown(L) one in BlueSky baby alpaca.

Use about 1 and half skeins from listed yarn or similar. If you are a tight knitter use size 4 or 5 needles. If you are a generous knitter; use #3.

Note on the The Favorite Hat: If you use DK yarn on #4 or #5 (instead the fingering wt like the Light blue sample) Cast on 120 sts.
Each section at the Crown decrease will be 40 sts instead of 48.
