The Fejø Scrunchie
The Fejø Scrunchie pattern is knit using different stitch options: brioche, half fisherman’s rib, stockinette, garter and double moss. The brioche and half fisherman’s rib stitches are super squishy and soft, while the garter and double moss give a lovely textured effect. The scrunchie is worked in the round for about 8 cm, then sewn together around a hair tie. It is a great and quick project for using rest yarn and can be knit using any type of light sport weight yarn, including cotton or blends. The gauge is simply a guide to how long the scrunchie should be to fit around a typical hair tie. Simply change your needle size or adapt your stitch count if you use different yarn other than the gauge recommendation.
