The Florette dress is a made to measure size inclusive pattern, this means it can be customized to any size and age, you just need to measure yourself and follow the instructions.
The patter is an advanced beginner level, however I have provided detailed steps and pictures throughout each step.
You will need 10 colours of any 4ply (fingering weight) cotton yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook, you will also need some elastic which will be placed on the top of your dress to hold into place on your shoulders.
You do not need to use 10 colours, however the pattern uses 10 different stitch patterns and each stitch pattern equals 1 colour. Each colour uses roughly the same amount of yarn, apart from 1 colour which is used for the puff stitch round, this uses a little extra. I used roughly 1000m of yarn for the size small (UK 8) mini dress and roughly 1800m of yarn for the size small (UK 8) maxi version.
The pattern also tells you how to join on your next colours with stitches rather then chains, this makes the dress seamless.
