The shape of this shawl is a lovely, wearable, elongated triangle, with a gently curving upper edge, and it contains enough repetition for you to relax into, with enough detail to keep it interesting. You can knit the entire thing with one color, or choose to make contrasting eyelet stripes. In fact, a soft, airy, lace weight mohair would make a lovely contrast choice. Speaking of that, you can choose to knit with fingering or DK weight yarn. (Of course, you can always go rogue and just use whatever other yarn weight you’d like. The needle size and amount of yarn will vary, so be sure to adjust accordingly.) You can wear your shawl as a cozy wrap, or draped lightly over your shoulders. Wear it however you like - after all, this is your time to flourish!
MATERIALS:
Note: This shawl can be knitted using DK or fingering weight yarns. The eyelet sections also work well for using mohair or other fun yarns.

The Hedgehog Fibres Merino DK sample was knitted on size 7 needles and produced a gauge of 16 stitches and 28 rows to 4”/10 cm. after blocking
