Are you ready to explore, to meander, to walk with purpose, to be silent, be loud, to be alone, to be with family, to smile, to laugh, to breathe deeply and relax, to be in the sun, or in the rich fragrant bush, then let’s go foraging, for nuts, fruits, mushrooms, seafood, flowers.

Is there anything more relaxing and rewarding than wandering around in the great outdoors.

I think some of my fondest childhood memories is picking blackberries on the way to school.

This large asymmetrical triangle shape shawl is inspired by our love of foraging.

There is eight sections and each stitch pattern in these sections is inspired by something that you need, see, use when foraging.

SIZE
Asymmetrical Triangle shape:
Measurements taken while on blocking mats. They may vary slightly.
Longest edge: 203cm/80”
Second side: 160cm/63”
Cast off Edge: 96cm/38”

GAUGE
I am not big on gauge swatching for shawls, for me it’s the drape of the shawl that is important.
That said the gauge for this using 5mm needles, in blocked garter stitch (measured while on blocking mat) is: 24 sts x 26 rows.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
5mm / US #8 (or as required to meet gauge), 32” cord.
X1 progress keeper and stitch markers
