The Formosa Shawl
Simplicity is beauty. That’s what The Formosa Shawl is all about.
This listing is for a lightweight crochet shawl digital pattern.
I believe that no matter how simple a stitch can be, when it is properly executed and carefully constructed, a maker will be able to create an exceptional item, and of course, when quality, passion, and motivation are added to the blend, one can really produce an item of emotional value that can be kept for generations to come.
The Formosa Shawl is slightly asymmetrical. It is made up of Double Crochet stitches throughout the pattern. As with all my other shawl designs, The Formosa Shawl also comes in a row to row written instructions with high definition photos. Included in the pattern is also a Chart Guide that you can use.
You may use any type/weight of yarn for this project and the outcome will still look fabulous and elegant because of it’s lacy design. You can even keep on repeating the specified rows until you are satisfied with it’s length.
During fine weather, the best yarn to use for this project is fingering weight, as these yarns produce a lovely drape in the finished item and is also lightweight. I love the ones from Scheepjes as they are very luxurious and the fibers have a great sheen and spun. Here I used 100% cotton fingering weight yarn by Scheepjes (3 skeins of the Cotton 8 yarns in the Shade No. 659.)
I’ve also worked this pattern using other types of yarn and they all turned out wonderful!
This pattern comes with an easy to follow written instructions in Standard American Crochet Terms as well as high definition pictures which will be enjoyed by both advanced beginners and intermediate crochet artists alike.
