The Four Seasons Mosaic Afghan
The Four Seasons is worked in the normal overlay mosaic row by row technique.
The PDF has 6 easy to read charts and corresponding written instructions. The pattern also details the exact colour-way I used with the amount of yarn per colour.
Two PDFs are available - one using US terms and one using UK terms.
You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern, just remember a tighter tension is better for mosaic crochet.
If using Stylecraft Special DK, you will need approximately 14 skeins for the main body of the blanket (including a simple 3-row border)
6 skeins for Colour A (the background colour)
5 skeins for Colour B (the pattern colour)
3 skeins for a simple 3-row double border
Approx. 1400 grams total
Between 3500 - 4500 yards (4200 - 4115 metres)
This will create a blanket of approximately 115 cm wide by 148cm long - including the border.
You can of course create any width you want, but the pattern means that the height will always be the same. So you could create a table runner, wall hanging or scarf if you prefer.
I hope you enjoy creating your own Four Seasons Blanket.
